IA Missing - Erin Kay Pospisil & Tyler Vermace

image of missing personimage of missing personErin Kay Pospisil was just 15 years old when she disappeared on Sunday, June 3, 2001. You can read her story here.

Reports regarding her disappearance are uneventful to say the least. She was going to a friend’s house to watch movies, she got a ride to that friend’s house from a friend of her brother. When they arrived at Erin’s friend’s house she wasn’t home. A car pulled up and Erin went over to that car and spoke with the occupants. NV Amber Alert - Lydia Rupp

We can only hope for a good outcome to the current Amber Alert story of Lydia Rupp. That is all we have left is hope since she is at the mercy of a known sex offender.

The mother had very little information to give law enforcement regarding the man that allegedly took her daughter sometime on Friday July 23rd. The mother had just met Fernando Aguerro at a church function in April of this year. He was already living with the family, at least by July. In press releases from the Nevada Amber Alert site he is listed as a boyfriend/room mate. I would have to guess he was more of a boyfriend because there were also comments made regarding arguments between the mother and Fernando about too much attention being paid to Lydia by Fernando as well as arguments about moving to San Diego. I don’t believe these arguments would have taken place if there was not a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship.

So, the mother allows this man to move into her home with her young daughter. She feels comfortable enough to leave her daughter in the care of this man while she goes off to work. Information is also given that Fernando drove the mother to work. I wonder if this was a usual occurrence. I also wonder who owned the vehicle. My guess at this point would have to be that Fernando owned the vehicle since the mother could not really give a good description of the car other than the make and model and that the car did not have license plates.
