Earlier today, I blogged about a 4-year-old girl named Valerie who was looking for her mother. She was left on a street corner last Sunday morning by her mother’s boyfriend. Authorities were able to determine who the girl was and who her mother was by locating the girl’s daycare records.
They located the boyfriend, Caesar, and questioned him over a two-day period. Today he was charged with second degree murder in the death of little Valerie’s mother. Apparently he choked her to death last Saturday night, placed her body in a plastic bag and left her inside of the apartment for two days. He then dumped her bagged body on a pile of garbage on a street in the borough of Queens. He has yet to give a reason for the murder.
Valerie keeps asking for her mother. Now, someone has to tell the little girl that her mother will never be back. The Mommy who she loved so much, the Mommy she said “looks like a princess†is dead. She will also have to be told that she cannot be with Caesar who she calls her “daddyâ€.
According to authorities Valerie was well taken care of; there were no signs of abuse or neglect when she was examined; fortunately she was the exception to the rule.

Valerie is just 4 years old and very bright. She wants to know what happened to her Mommy. She awakens in the night at the home of her foster mother crying because she does not know what happened to her Mommy. Valerie was found wandering the streets of Queens, NY a week ago at 1 a.m. not wearing any shoes, not wearing a sweater. She has told police that her father woke her up, put her in the car and then she got lost.
Interviews with the girl and placing her picture in front of the media allowed law enforcement to determine who her mother is, but they still do not know what happened to the woman. Valerie says she has two “daddiesâ€. Law enforcement has determined that Caesar, the man who Valerie claims took her out of the house in the middle of the night is the boyfriend of Valerie’s mother.
Philippe has been determined to be Valerie’s biological father and it is believed that he lives in Bolivia the home country of Valerie’s mother.
Police are questioning Caesar about what happened that night a week ago. He claims among many stories given that he drove Valerie and her mother to the airport to catch an International flight to Bolivia. The problem with that story is that there is no record of plane tickets purchased or reservations made for Valerie’s mother. Police have told reporters that they have a bad gut feeling about this story.
Valerie needs to find her mother. She misses her Mommy and she says this week was her birthday and now she can’t have her presents. Video of the story is
