Warning Signs Were There

I have received many comments on my Ricky Holland Vanished blog expressing sorrow as well as asking the question “Why didn’t anyone call and report the suspected abuse in the Holland home?”

In the photo above more than 300 people attended the memorial candlelight service for Ricky on Sunday. They were there to remember him. Many who attended helped search for him. The article from the Lansing State Journal states in part:

“…Ricky Holland was more than a missing child to this tight-knit community; he was like a son…”

Ricky Holland Remains Positively Identified

(Cross-posted from Ricky Holland Vanished Blog)

The remains discovered yesterday at a remote location in Ingham County, Michigan have been positively identified as those of Ricky Holland reported missing from Williamston, Michigan on July 2, 2005.

You will note that the name appearing below his photo is different than what has been reported in the news. I found an interview with Ricky’s biological mother a few months ago. In that interview she mentioned the name she gave to Ricky at the time of his birth. I felt it only fitting due the circumstances of his death that his birth name appear underneath this picture.
