Amber Alert Cancelled - Arizona - Skyland Childress Found Safe
A statewide Amber Alert was issued Wednesday May 16, 2006 for 3-year-old Skyland Childress of Cottonwood, Arizona. Social Workers were scheduled to remove Skyland from her foster home amid allegations of abuse. Skyland was last seen down the street from her foster home at approximately 3 p.m. Wednesday in the company of her foster mother’s son, 17-year-old Cory Sgarlata.
There was a report on Wednesday evening of an abandoned 3-year-old girl near 85th Drive and Encanto Boulevard in Phoenix; but it was not immediately clear whether the girl was Skyland.

Edward George McGregor was arrested on May 1, 2006 and charged with the 1990 brutal stabbing murder of 38-year-old Kim Wildman in her home.Quote from Detective Andi Wiltse with the Missouri City Police Department:
“This was a very savage, brutal killing that did involve intrusion, sexual assault…”
