Missing and Murdered Children

Pedophiles Will Travel Far to Meet Their Goal

without comments

Nabil Al Rowais was feeling very excited in April 2006, when he exited the plane in San Francisco, California. Nabil was not excited just because he had been able to travel from Saudi Arabia to San Francisco to perhaps see the sights of the city such as the Golden Gate Bridge or the Embarcadero. He was not excited because he had come to see the San Francisco Giants play baseball.

Nabil is a psychiatrist in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and he was not excited about coming to participate in a medical conference in the San Francisco area.

The reason Nabil was feeling so excited was because he was finally going to meet with the father he had met on the Internet who had promised him during many graphic email exchanges what he could do to the man’s 3-year-old daughter. Nabil had planned this trip for 9 months and now his long-planned fantasy was about to become a reality.

They planned to meet at a motel in Vallejo, just across the San Francisco Bay. He was ready for this exciting rendezvous bringing with him a video camera and girls’ underwear for the girl. He was sure the girl would look just wonderful in those little panties he had chosen for her to wear.

The limo trip from the airport to the hotel in Vallejo seemed as though it was taking forever, but ultimately all the time and planning it took for this wonderful event to happen for him was going to be worth it.

Nabil paid the limo driver while he hurriedly exited the car. He entered the motel and went directly to the room the father of the girl told him would be the meeting place – Room 328.

Nabil knocked on the door with the number 328 and waited for the man to answer – he could not wait to feast his eyes on the little girl. The door opened…

“…the man was greeted by an undercover agent who had posed as the girl’s father and was immediately arrested.(…) [Source]

Fortunately there was never a little girl or a father who was actually willing to allow a man to come and rape his daughter. People might believe that this was just a rare case. Unfortunately these cases are not rare and that is why it is necessary for law enforcement agents to take their undercover skills into the World Wide Web and get these people off of the virtual streets.

“…The initial lead in this case came about as a result of an ICE investigation known as Operation Babynet, a probe targeting an El Dorado Hills man who ultimately pleaded guilty to molesting his infant daughter and distributing the images over the Internet.

After receiving the lead, ICE agents teamed with the California Bureau of Investigation, the Sacramento Sheriff’s Department, and the Sacramento Police Department to investigate the allegations. The agencies are members of the Safe Streets Task Force, an ongoing initiative partnering federal, state, and local agencies to target violent street gangs and child sex predators.(…)”

“…Al Rowais’ arrest is part of Operation Predator, an ongoing ICE enforcement initiative to identify, investigate, arrest and, in the case of foreign nationals, deport child sex predators. Since the initiative began almost two years ago, ICE agents have arrested more than 7,800 individuals nationwide, including almost 2,000 here in California.(…)” [Source]

Dr. Al Rowais is 37 years old. He was only sentenced to 7 years in federal prison for this crime. I don’t feel that 7 years is long enough of a sentence for this man. He will be 44 years old when he is released – if he serves the entire sentence. He will still be young enough to sexually other children. Although, really, age does not have anything to do with the ability or desire of pedophiles to continue to harm children.

Al Rowais was charged with traveling in foreign commerce with the intent to have sex with a minor. The possible sentence he could have received:

“…a minimum sentence of five years in prison and a maximum penalty of up to 30 years.(…) [Source]

So really after all of the hard work on this case, after all of the disgusting and vile emails the undercover agent had to read and reply to, this man received what amounts to a slap on the wrist. The law is on the books that states the maximum can be 30 years. I wonder why this judge decided on such a lenient sentence. I suppose we will need to wait until after Dr. Al Rowais gets out of jail and really acts out on his sick fantasies and then he can be sentenced to the maximum.
