No Death Penalty Sought

It was announced this afternoon that Pierce County Prosecutor Gerald Horne agreed to not seek the death penalty against alleged kidnapper, child rapist and child murderer Terapon Adhahn. A plea agreement was reached with the suspect in hopes that if the death penalty was taken away then the suspect would tell authorities where Zina was located. The hope was, of course, that Zina was still alive.

All the suspect could do was lead authorities to Zina’s body.

It is sad in this case that a plea agreement was even put on the proverbial table because at this point investigators are considering Terapon as a person of interest in the abduction and murder of 10-year-old Adre’anna Jackson of Lakewood, Washington in December 2005.

When Zina Linnik went missing on the night of July 4th, I watched the case unfold through news reports and I wondered if her disappearance could be associated with any other disappearances in the area. I immediately thought of Adre’anna’s unsolved murder and I looked up her physical description. The physical descriptions are similar in height and weight. The age difference was two years but Zina looked much younger than 12-years of age.
