NC Amber Alert - Kaleb Hardin 

Update:

Kaleb and his mother were located safe early Sunday evening in an apartment complex in Charlotte. Both are at the police station waiting for family members to pick them up. Kaleb and his mother had been missing since October 7, 2007. A good ending to this Amber Alert.

A statewide Amber Alert was issued this afternoon for 7-year-old Kaleb Hardin, missing from Harlowe, North Carolina. Authorities believe he is traveling with his mother, 34-year-old Susan Hardin, and he is believed to be in imminent danger. They are believed to be hitchhiking in the direction of Charlotte, North Carolina. However, further information has placed the mother purchasing a bus ticket for the Charlotte destination a few days ago.

The poster issued by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children indicates that both Kaleb and his mother may be in need of medical attention. The poster also indicates caution should be used when approaching the pair.

Kaleb is a black male with black hair and brown eyes. He stands 3′5″ (104 cm) tall and weighs 70 lbs (32 kg).

Susan Hardin is a black female with black hair and brown eyes. She stands 5′3″ (160 cm) tall and weighs 170 lbs (77 kg).

If you have information regarding the whereabouts of either Kaleb or Susan you are asked to call 9-1-1 or 1-800-the-lost.
