NV Amber Alert - Esther Melendez
Amber Alert Issued for: Nevada - Statewide
Victim Names: Esther Melendez
Suspect Names: Jose Rangel-Martinez - AKA: Manuel Zavala-Yepez
Circumstances: Esther was last seen on Wednesday evening at 5:30 p.m. at her home on North Pecos Drive. It is believed that Esther is with her mother's roommate, Jose Rangel-Martinez. Although Rangel-Martinez is known to the girl and the mother, it is believed that Esther is in extreme danger.They may be en route to California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho or Mexico.Jose and Esther were last seen in a 2003 red Cavalier four door with Nevada license plate 506 UVM.1
Esther is an 11-year-old Hispanic female. She has long black hair. Esther is 4'3" tall and weighs 110 lbs. When last seen she was wearing a black shirt and black skirt.
Jose Rangel-Martinez is a 28-year-old Latin male. He is 5'10 with a thin build. His eyes and hair are brown and he has a tattoo on his left inner forearm.

The California Highway Patrol has issued a statewide Amber Alert as of this evening.
11:30 p.m.
Esther Melendez has been located safe in Porterville, CA. Jose Rangel-Martinez has been taken into custody pending charges. The two were located during a traffic stop by the California Highway Patrol. Esther will be returned to her family in Las Vegas. Las Vegas authorities will release more information tomorrow.2
