Victim Names: William Alexander Benitez

Suspect Names: Antonio Dejesus Granado and other unnamed individuals

William Alexander BenitezCircumstances At approximately 1a.m. today several persons, including the named suspect, stormed into Benitez’ Madison, North Carolina home. It was reported there were two carloads of individuals involved. After taking some money and a few other items from the home, Antonio Dejesus Granado forced the victim to leave the home, allegedly at knife point. The abduction occurred at approximately 1p.m. The victim and suspect were last seen in a black Honda Civic with Texas plates. However, that car was later located wrecked and abandoned in Guilford county.

Police do not know the motive for the abduction or if there is a relationship between the victim and the suspects. The one person in home indicated that one of the suspects is a distant cousin.1

William Alexander Benitez is a 17-year-old Hispanic male. He has black hair and brown eyes. He stands 5’7″ tall and weighs approximately 162 lbs. When last seen he was wearing a blue striped shirt and blue jeans.

Antonio Dejesus GranadoAbductorAntonio Dejesus Granado is an 18-year-old Hispanic male with brown hair and brown eyes. He stands 5’6″ tall and weighs approximately 138 lbs.2

The two may now be traveling in either a light-colored Honda Accord or a red vehicle, unknown make model or license.

They were last seen driving U.S. Highway 220 South and may be headed to Houston, Texas.

Anyone with information about the case should call 911, the state Highway Patrol at *HP or the Rockingham County Sheriff`s Office at 336-634-3030 or 336-634-7370.3

The website khou.com is reporting that William Benitez has been located in safe condition in Galveston, Texas. Apparently he was dropped off in the city by his alleged abductor, Antonio Dejesus Granado, who is still at large.4
