Circumstances
-
At approximately 12p.m. on September 14, Frank C. Deitsch, Jr. got into an argument with his child’s mother because she told him she was leaving him. He assaulted her by “grabbing her ponytail and shoving her into the entertainment center.” Frank Jr. then shoved his child’s mother into the bathroom and locked the door. When the woman climbed out of the bathroom window she saw her husband leaving with their one-year-old son, Frank Deitsch.
Frank Deitsch, Jr. does not have any money and there is no car seat in the vehicle for the child. When leaving the scene, he had the child in his lap.
He does not have any relatives in the area, however, he has relatives in Kentucky and Ohio. After leaving the father called the mother from a payphone and told her “You will never see your child again!”
If you have any information on the alleged victim, abductor or vehicle, IMMEDIATELY telephone 911 or Warren Police Department at 586-574-4832.
I hope this baby will be alright.

Frank Deitsch was located in Ohio earlier today by Warren, Michigan detectives. They convinced him to return with his son to Michigan; he agreed to do so if a custody hearing was arranged. Frank C. Deitsch, the boy’s father, turned his son over to authorities a little after 3p.m. Little Frank was placed with Child Protective Services until the investigation is completed. The father was released from custody pending further investigation.
I am glad this one turned out well. I was really worried about the outcome.
