Missing and Murdered Children

A statewide Amber Alert was issued Wednesday May 16, 2006 for 3-year-old Skyland Childress of Cottonwood, Arizona. Social Workers were scheduled to remove Skyland from her foster home amid allegations of abuse. Skyland was last seen down the street from her foster home at approximately 3 p.m. Wednesday in the company of her foster mother’s son, 17-year-old Cory Sgarlata.

There was a report on Wednesday evening of an abandoned 3-year-old girl near 85th Drive and Encanto Boulevard in Phoenix; but it was not immediately clear whether the girl was Skyland. Continue reading
