Missing and Murdered Children

Two children shared the same unfortunate spotlight in the news over the Fourth of July weekend last year. Evelyn Miller from Floyd, Iowa was reported missing from her home in the early morning hours of July 1st. Six days later Evelyn’s body was found in the Cedar River not far from her home. Not much has happened in solving Evelyn’s murder or determining who is responsible for the heinous act.

Suspicions were cast upon her mother as well as two acquaintances of her mother and the mother’s live-in boyfriend, Casey Fredrickson. A few months after Evelyn’s murder, Casey Frederickson was indicted on unrelated charges for possession of child pornography on his home computer. He is currently awaiting trial on those charges. Evelyn Miller disappeared from her home on the evening of June 30 or early morning hours of July 1st of this year. Six days later her body was discovered by kayakers on the Cedar River. The police have not yet named a suspect in her murder.
