14-202.1 Indecent Liberties with Minor
The title of this blog entry, "14-202.1 Indecent Liberties with a Minor" is what the man named Phillip Denkler was accused of, tried, convicted, and served time for in the state of North Carolina. He was convicted of Indecent Liberties with a Minor in Nash County on January 13, 2004. He was sentenced to 1 year and 8 months in jail. It appears that he only served 8 months because according to the North Carolina Sex Offender Registry his conviction date was January 13, 2004 and his release date was September 9, 2004.
Also, according to the sex offender registry his picture was updated in April of this year and his address was updated in July of this year. It is noted that he has no known offenses. Unfortunately, that is not all society expects of sex offenders, complying with registration requirements. Society also expects that sex offenders will not re-offend or it is the hope that they will not re-offend.
